It's almost three years since I wrote on here having just waved goodbye to Emily as she headed off to live in Sydney, and it was almost a year after that when we first saw her again. She has been home a couple of times since, and each of us have been to visit her once but there's always a hard goodbye at the end. This time it’s different - on Monday she is arriving back after an amazing three years, and is starting the next chapter back here which is incredibly exciting for us.
Coming back from an Australian summer to an English winter isn't the best timing, but it's not all bad. Look at this photo of the view from the marquee at The Derbyshire Christmas Fair at Osmaston Park yesterday – this really is England at its best. Some of the fairs I go to are in the most beautiful places.

BAKED FETA WITH TOMATOES AND CHICKPEAS
I think you’ll like this recipe for Baked Feta with Tomatoes and Chickpeas - I made it earlier this week when I had a friend for lunch and we both thought it was really good so I thought I would share it. It's a great one for when you haven’t got much time as it's very quick to put together - it's simple and delicious. Have on its own as a complete meal as we did, or have it as a side with meat or fish. It would also be rather yummy with a baked potato! Either way I think you’ll like it.
