My trip to Australia was fantastic, and having time with Emily was so so special. We packed so much in to a relatively short space of time but it gave me a great taste of what was on offer – I loved exploring Sydney and all the beautiful neighbourhoods, I walked for miles, I got buses, trams and ferries, we went to The Opera House, we visited friends in Melbourne, spent a weekend on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula, we had a weekend in Byron Bay and explored the stunning hinterland in the area, we went to The Blue Mountains, we ate delicious food and delicious olive oil, I swam in the sea, saw Australian sunrises and sunsets - it was amazing. At least I now feel I have some small level of familiarity, and in a funny way it doesn’t feel quite so far away now that I can envisage where Em is when we speak. I know I only saw the tiniest amount of it, but what a great country.
Having only arrived back a couple of days ago I am still slightly upside down – this morning I woke pretty early and was listening to the radio and couldn’t believe it when Olive Oil made the news headlines! They were saying that of all the increases in price of food products Olive Oil has risen more than any other! It genuinely is Liquid Gold.
EXCITING WEEK AHEAD ....
I am really excited about next week as I am going to be at RHS Chelsea Flower Show for a few days helping my brother, Tom – Tom is a sculptor and has a stand this year, in collaboration with Tania Brookes Garden Design and Ketley Brick – I have been watching with admiration the huge effort that has gone in to creating their space, and I can’t wait to see the final result – if any of you are going to be there please come and see us and have a look – it is Stand SR151, on the Embankment side of The Great Pavilion - we’d love to see you.
