It might not be snowy here in Oxford but it is bitterly cold so staying inside today has not been a bad option, and with these gorgeous daffs my kitchen is a cheery and cosy place to be.
It was Rupert’s birthday this week and I honestly made the best Chocolate Fondant for him. Had I realized how totally delicious it was going to be, and that I was going to tell you about it, I would have taken a photograph of the birthday boy enjoying it, but I was so busy tucking in to my own one that I literally couldn’t stop even for a photo opportunity! So I have just had to make it again (not sure why as this photograph is absolutely awful) but at least we’ll get to eat it again! Don't let the photo put you off - it really is delicious.
With Mothers Day and Easter both round the corner I thought I would share a couple of things that I would definitely love to be given – maybe someone else would too. Everything is from fellow small businesses who I love to spread the word about as I know how much every single order means to them, just as it does to me.
Hand and Body Sugar Scrubs from TAM MASON – I absolutely love Tam’s products and use them all the time which really is saying something as I’ve never been very good at pampering! Somehow this seems different – I have one pot in the shower, and one by the kitchen sink so it’s easy, but it def feels very special.
Cards from LEDBURY LETTERPRESS – lovely Rebecca hand prints all these wonderful cards herself so that you can spread some joy by sending them to friends and family – a box of them makes such a lovely present and I always have them in my “card stash”.
Candles from GLØDE - small batch beeswax dinner candles in the most beautiful seasonally inspired colours. You can buy a subscription, or you can buy as a one off. I was given a set at Christmas and loved them.
