I am sure I say this every year but I absolutely love autumn – I adore the colours and it never ceases to amaze me how incredible nature is. This year the trees seem to be particularly weighed down with apples and pears, there are so many conkers, and I love seeing the beautiful leaves turning golden and red – nature is so grounding, and is a “constant” which is something to be cherished when so much is so uncertain.
WARMING CURRY FOR CHILLY DAYS ...
The minute they are available I decorate my kitchen table with pumpkins and squash (and huge cooking apples) – I think they are so beautiful and, unlike flowers (which of course I adore), they last for ages … and then you can eat them! Feeling rather inspired, I have just made this Spicy Pumpkin and Squash Curry which would certainly be the perfect supper for a chilly day. So that's our supper sorted, but fear not there are still plenty more beauties decorating the table!
OUT AND ABOUT ....
Because I work on my own, getting out and about at this time of year is such a brilliant chance to see my lovely customers, and it's so nice to link up with my fab “fair friends”. I’ve had a few already, but there are lots more to go – if you’re in London I’m at The Daisy Trust Fair at The Hurlingham on Monday, and then I’m racing around the country, heading off to many of my favourites, and looking forward to catching up with some of you on my travels. For those of you who can't make it to a fair there's always the option to order online and have it sent to you direct.
We are in strange old times at the moment so I want to say more than ever a huge thank you to all of you for your support – it is tough for everyone but we will get through – as my Daddy used to say … “All will be well”
Thanks a million
