Last Thursday I had been hoping to enjoy a beautiful sunny day of tennis at Queens Club, a very lovely Christmas present which I was so looking forward to. With the rain pouring as we left home we weren’t that hopeful, but we turned up with fingers crossed. We spent the whole day heading to our seats in expectation whenever we saw the covers come off and then waiting in vain – we did see Raducanu knock up for 5 minutes before the rain started again and the covers were hauled back on, and so it went on. As it turned out there was no play all day which was really disappointing, but whilst waiting I did start thinking about this Fino missive.
Disappointing it was but I cannot complain as we have had a couple of really lovely breaks in the last month which were a mix of work and pleasure. We have just come back from a fab few days in Northumberland, followed by a spoiling few days in Scotland fishing with great friends, a first for me. I have rarely visited Scotland, and have never been to the Highlands where I was blown away by the amount of space - just miles and miles of uninhabited unspoilt countryside. It was utterly beautiful (the rhododendrons were in full bloom), and as for the river it was heaven. Likewise I really don't know Northumberland but again the scenery was staggeringly beautiful, and the castles were seriously impressive.

At the beginning of May Rupert and I had three days back in beautiful Malaga reliving happy times. Of course we also headed back to Casarabonela where it is always so nice to see friends and visit everyone at the “cooperativa del pueblo” - they are, after all, the ones who are responsible for producing our delicious olive oil. This time I had lots to discuss with them about a change I am going to be making. I have been thinking about it for some time, and there is still plenty to sort but I am excited and will share more details soon.

DELICIOUS GIFTS FOR THE MEN IN YOUR LIFE
It's Father’s Day at the end of next week and perhaps we can help - I know lots of Dad’s who would be very happy to be given a pot of our delicious Chilli Jam or our particularly good Chorizo Jam (just back in stock), or perhaps a bottle of our pokey Chilli Oil - you could always create a Gift Box with your own combination. Maybe you know someone who would like a pressie like this - if you do then grab 10% off Jams & Chilli Oil using DAD at the checkout (valid until Wednesday) - do please note that the courier cannot leave packages without an instruction to do so, so please do add an instruction on the order as to where it can be left if nobody is at home.

Thankfully the weather is being kinder again now - enjoy it!
