This morning the 2018 Great Taste results were announced and I am over the moon that, for the second time, the Fino Dark Balsamic has been awarded 3 Stars, and the Fino White Balsamic has been awarded 2 Stars. Yippee! I am so happy, and I know many of you Fino followers will be delighted too. What great taste we all have!

Here are a couple of the judges' comments about the Fino Dark Balsamic ......
"Exceptionally complex and intense with a really well developed sherry sweetness and a gentle but well balanced vinegar tang. Judges kept sipping and pouring more as it is very moreish and incredibly delicious!"
"This has incredible flavour, it lasts for such a long time. You can really taste the PX. It has rich raisin and chocolate notes with a gentle mature acidity. A rich treat for the senses. The taste of the barrels it has been aged in also comes across."
and what they said about the Fino White Balsamic ......
"This is an incredibly exciting flavour journey - it has real depth and complexity. It manages to have a deep and delicate flavour at the same time. You can really taste the raisiny PX, the flavour lasts for an incredible amount of time with a background warmth. Perfect acidity too - Food for the Gods!"
"Light and really fresh but with a huge punch of balsamic flavour. Really well balanced sweetness and complexity with a clean clear finish that is really exciting. Judges loved the balance between the richness of the grape and the acidity that gives it a lively flavour and bright well balanced finish. Would be absolutely excellent on a variety of dishes."
So if I were you I would grab some warm crusty bread, or some delicious tomatoes like these little orange ones which I got from the farmers market, and drizzle with Fino olive oil, Fino balsamic and rock salt - the only challenge is choosing whether to try the dark or white balsamic first - or just have two plates on the go!
If you want to purchase anything Fino, olive oil or balsamic, just click here, and orders will be dispatched on a next day delivery service so you won't have to wait long to get stuck in.
Hope to hear from you, and now I'm off to celebrate!
