My head has been slightly turned for the last few weeks as we have a new addition to the family, the most adorable 11 month old fox red lab. She is utter heaven. Meet Willow.
With three dogs, and so much rain, keeping the house clean has become a completely full time job. Everywhere we walk the ground is soaking, and there is so much mud! There is no doubt that the weather is becoming much more extreme - it's ironic that here we have had so much rain, whilst countries in the mediterranean have suffered so badly with lack of it for the last few years, and with devastating consequences for the crops, not least the olives.
TALKING OLIVES .....
I have often been asked whether I sell olives. Sticking to the Spanish theme is an important part of Fino, and "our story", so it's lucky that I happen to think these giant Gordal Picante Olives taste particularly delicious. Crisp and juicy, Gordal or Queen Olives are the largest green olives grown in Spain - in my opinion they taste great, and there is no bitter aftertaste. You can buy these olives as individual tins, but they also fit very snuggly in to our Bottle & Jam Gift Packs. Embarrasingly I haven't yet quite worked out how to add the different options to the back end of the website as yet (really unprofessional) but I wanted to point out the possibility, so if you would like to order one of these Gift Packs with the addition of a tin of olives then I hope you won't mind ordering them as two separate items for now, and I will of course make it up as one box. If you feel like upcycling why not use the tins as pots or vases - I think these daffs look rather lovely in them!
